OAKHAVEN HOSPICE PRESS RELEASEApril 2007 LOCAL GOLFERS- are you up to the challenge ? Oakhaven Hospice is looking for a local golfer to join their "Longest Day Golf Challenge" team this June. On June 21 st ( the longest day of the year ) a team of four golfers lead by Oakhaven Fundraising Director Mike Denny will be attempting to play four rounds of golf on four different local courses raising funds for Oakhaven while they do so. The team, who hope to raise around £10.000 from the day, will kick off their efforts as the sun raises at Brockenhurst Manor Golf Club and after a hearty, but quick breakfast, will move onto to Bramshaw Golf Club for another 18 holes before moving onto the New Forest Golf Club at Lyndhurst for round three. The team will commence their final round at Barton-On-Sea Golf Club at approximately 5.30pm and aim to finish just before 9.00pm "We are very grateful to our local clubs for their kind support for our challenge" said Mike Denny. "We now need just one more golfer to complete our team. They will need to be reasonably fit and have a current bona fide club handicap and be prepared to raise sponsorship for the challenge from friends, colleagues, neighbours and business contacts. We will ensure they are well fed and watered throughout the day and the final round at Barton will be followed by a buffet reception for the golfers and their family" If you are interested in joining the team contact Mike at Oakhaven on 01590-677311 or email mike@oakhavenhospice.co.uk Notes for Editors: Oakhaven Hospice supports not only at the Hospice but also out in the community.
