LOCAL COMPANY

January 2007

A local company has solved the problem of flooding during heavy rainfall at Oakhaven Day Hospice.

George Farwell & Son have donated the time of 3-4 men from early morning until dusk for a whole week commencing January 2rd. They dug up the car park, provided all the pipework, gravel,, tarmac and machinery to solve a serious ongoing problem with flood water at the Day Hospice.

Andrew Ryde Oakhaven’s Chief Executive said “ The work is first class, completed in the shortest possible time. The crew were curteous and cheerful everyday. This is another wonderful example of a prominent local company using their own time and resources to help an organisation that supports the local community. Oakhaven are extremely grateful to Farwell & Son for this generous donation helping us solve a potentially expensive problem. We continue to be delighted at the generosity of the local community and the affection in which we are held. END
