Oakhaven Hospice Shops

Lymington Oakhaven shop

Our high street retail shops will be open from the 12th April or you could visit our online shop.

Opening hours

The shops will all be open to welcome you between the hours of 10am and 4.30pm

Bags of Generosity

Unfortunately we will have to limit the volume of donations at present. We kindly ask people to spread the bags of joy filled with your wonderful donations over the coming weeks. The following days and times have been allocated for drop offs across out retail chain to ensure that we have enough volunteers and staff in place to accept and sort your items ready for sale.

Lymington Boutique  Wednesday and Thursday 9am – 10.30am

Childrens shop, Lymington: Monday 10am -4pm

Craft shop, Lymington:  Tuesday and Thursday 10am – 1pm

Totton shop:  Wednesday 10am – 4pm

Shirley Shop, Shirley:  Tuesday and Thursday 10am -3pm

New Milton Shop:  Tuesday and Thursday 10am – 3pm

Highcliffe Furniture Shop:  Monday and Thursday 10am – 1pm

Hythe Clothing Shop:  Monday to Friday 9.30am – 10am

Fairview Furniture Shop, Hythe:  Monday, Tuesday and Friday

Furniture outlet, Ampress Park, Lymington:  Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am - 4pm - larger volume donations or furniture will be accepted here

Outside of these times please phone your local shop to make alternative arrangements.

Everyone loves a bargain, and since 1995 when our first shop opened in Lymington, our shops have gained a reputation for excellence and quality at affordable prices.

In each of our shops, you will find a great team of staff and volunteers working together to help you. They pride themselves on delivering first class customer service and making our shops welcoming and enticing.

Our shops are an Aladdin’s cave filled with real treasures and the ultimate in recycling. You never know what you will find in an Oakhaven shop!

Can I Gift Aid my donations? Expand

Yes, all of our shops all take part in the retail gift aid scheme, simply complete the our gift aid form and pop it in the bag with your donations: download a Gift Aid form

Filling out a Gift Aid form will enable the hospice to claim an additional 25p for every £1 raised on goods donated by the public from HM Revenue & Customs!

What can I donate? Expand

We are very grateful for any quality donations you give to the Hospice shops. Our shops rely on your good quality donated items and we are particularly looking for:-

  • Ladies, men’s and children’s clothes, shoes and accessories
  • Ornaments, china and glassware in good clean condition
  • Modern paperback books
  • Vintage and retro items
  • Toys
  • CDs and DVDs
  • Unwanted gifts
  • Small electrical appliances
  • Furniture with fire labels if applicable

 

Unfortunately there are certain items we are unable to accept due to Health and Safety regulations or lack of public demand, these are:-

  • Computers
  • Videos and cassettes
  • Duvets and Pillows
  • Safety helmets
  • Child car seats
  • Toys without a CE label
  • Gas appliances
  • Sharp knives and weapons
  • White electrical goods
  • Upholstered furniture without a fire label or no longer in a clean sellable condition
Do you get money for recycling? Expand

Yes, if the items aren't saleable we send them for recycling, this way we still genterate funds from your donations.

Our shops are an important source of income for Oakhaven

Every penny raised by the Hospice shops is used to fund the specialist care and support to our patients and their families when they meed it most.

Do you have a spare afternoon? If so please consider giving the gift of time, volunteers play a vital role in the success of our shops and we are always looking for additional help. If you are interested please see our volunteer pages.
