Oakhaven wins Charity of the Year 2024 Award
Everyone at Oakhaven is thrilled to be awarded the New Milton Advertiser and Lymington Times Award for Charity of the Year 2024, one of nineteen annual New Forest Business Partnership 'Brilliance in Business' Awards.
Both Oakhaven Hospice and Oakhaven Care Ltd were nominated for the Award for not-for-profit organisations which have a base in the New Forest and have been operating for more than one year on 1 October 2024.
Oakhaven Care Ltd is a home care social enterprise, owned by the Oakhaven Trust, with 100% of profits helping to fund the running costs of Oakhaven Hospice.
In October the teams were delighted when 'Oakhaven' became one of three finalists for the Not-For-Profit of the Year Award.
On Thursday 28th November Oakhaven was announced as Charity of the Year 2024 at the New Forest Business Partnership Awards evening by Nell Lazzario from the New Milton Advertiser and Lymington Times.
Tanya Baddeley, Head of Marketing, and Natalie Hutchins, Corporate Fundraising Manager, were delighted to attend the event, and collected the Award on behalf of everyone at Oakhaven Hospice and Oakhaven Care Ltd.
The pair took a sneaky selfie when they returned to their seats and then realised that Oakhaven's Patron, Mary Montagu-Scott, was equally thrilled in the row behind!
Huge congratulations to every member of staff, every volunteer, every fundraiser and supporter for your hard work and dedication - this Award is a testament to the positive difference you all make for families living throughout our New Forest, Totton and Waterside communities.
We plan to take some photos of our teams with the Award over the coming weeks!
