Chair auction in support of Oakhaven Hospice
Talented local upholsterer Susan Newman and her team of students the ‘Strippers and Stretchers’ worked tirelessly over a weekend, stripping down old chairs and stretching new fabric onto them to create these beautiful chairs that will be sold in support of Oakhaven Hospice.
Using donated chairs from our furniture warehouse, hospice and supporters, and with donated fabrics from local suppliers, the Strippers and Stretchers gave their time and skills in a 24-hour ‘upholsterathon’. They have given these previously sad and unloved chairs a wonderful new lease of life. Named after our local areas, could The Beaulieu, The Sway or The Everton look fabulous in your home?

How to view the chairs
Each week, several of the chairs will be on display in the window of our Lymington Designer Fashion charity shop at 54a High Street, Lymington. All the other chairs will be on display at our Lymington Furniture shop at 170 Wellworthy Road, Ampress Park.
How to place a bid
Each week, a selection of the chairs will become available for a period of 10 days on our ebay page. A button will be visible with a link to the relevant ebay page when it is available for bids - simply click and then place a bid as normal on ebay. Normal terms and conditions for ebay apply.
Collection or local delivery
Please note, collection or local delivery applies to the chairs. If you live beyond the New Forest, Totton and Waterside you will need to organise to collect the chair or your own delivery.
