Fire and Ice Walk
Wednesday 25th October 2023
Challenge yourself to walk on Fire and Ice on Wednesday 25th October
Hot coals and broken glass...
Our flaming hot walk with an ice-cool twist will be taking place on Wednesday 25th October from 4pm to 8pm. Could you face your fear for Oakhaven?
Join us as we walk barefoot over hot coals and broken glass against the atmospheric twilight backdrop of the hospice gardens.
Whether it's already on your bucket list or something you’ve never considered before, fire and ice walking is an exhilarating way to challenge yourself to do something different this 'Oaktaber'.
You must be aged 11 years or over to take part in this event.
...Or the Lego Brick Walk?
If you’re not quite ready or old enough to feel the heat on your feet, why not take part in the Lego Brick Walk, open to anyone aged over 5 years? There is no need to register for the Lego Brick Walk, just turn up and take part, £10 per adult £5 per child.
Registration for the Fire and Ice Walk
Registration for the Fire and Ice Walk is £35 per participant. This includes the Fire and Ice Walks, a flaming orange t-shirt and a certificate. The walks are suitable for all fitness levels. Plus, of course, you can take part in the Lego Brick Walk too.
Fire Walk – walk 15 feet over hot coals burning at over 550 degrees Celsius.
Ice Walk – walk barefoot over hundreds of razor-sharp broken glass bottles.
Lego Walk – a tough trek over thousands of Lego bricks.
You must register to take part in the event - we advise you to register soon as places are limited.
Get fundraising!
Once registered we need you to get fundraising! A minimum of £150 is required but don’t put a limit on facing your fears!
If you like to do your fundraising online, you could set up a JustGiving page - click here to get started. However if you prefer to do you fundraising offline you can download a sponsor form here.
All funds raised from the Fire and Ice Walk will help local people during the most difficult of times. With only a small proportion of our costs funded by government sources, every donation makes a difference, enabling us to continue providing exceptional care, comfort and support to patients facing end of life and their loved ones, both within the Hospice itself and out in the New Forest, Totton and Waterside community.
