OAKHAVEN'S 8TH ANNUAL SKYDIVE
In May we returned to see our friends at Netheravon where 9 brave people completed a 14,000 feet tandem sky dive. This year our jumpers included Tony Buck who had sky dived once before and this time raised over £7,000.
Four local Freemasons dressed as superheroes battled 90 degree heat as they cycled around the Isle of Wight in a race against two colleagues in boats The cyclists Andy Wort, Robin, Joe Traykov, Batman, Lee Marsh, Superman, and Mark Jones, Wonder Woman, are from the New Forest Lodge. Tony Barnes gave great support to the team.
The race was 64 miles long and the superheroes drank over 40 litres of water as they competed against fellow lodge members Paul Adams and Adam Fuller, who were taking part in the Round the Island Race – a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight. A long hard day in the heat but a great time was had by all and they raised over £1300.
Congratulations to Alan and Debbie Few who recently got married. Instead of wedding presents Alan and Debbie asked for donation to Oakhaven. Thank you to all their friends and family who so generously donated over £1,000 to us.
