Staff Nurse - In-Patient Unit

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our In-Patient Unit at Oakhaven Hospice, providing exceptional end-of-life and palliative care to our local community.

Location:  Lymington, Hampshire

Hours: 22.5 hours per week. (Flexible shift patterns across days, nights, weekends and bank holidays)

Salary: £22,452.50 per annum (based on 22.5 hours per week) Full-Time Equivalent: £37,420.50 per annum. In addition, you will receive enhanced payments of 30% to 75% for unsocial hours, depending on shifts worked.

• Develop specialist skills through excellent learning and development opportunities.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• At least 2 years' post-registration experience as a qualified nurse.
• Current NMC registration (Level 1 or Level 2).
• Recent experience caring for patients with palliative care needs, cancer, or other life-limiting illnesses.
• Experience supporting patients and families facing the challenges of serious illness and end of life.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to discuss sensitive issues with compassion and professionalism.
• A caring, empathetic approach combined with a mature and responsible attitude.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including both days and nights.

Previous hospice experience is welcomed but not essential. We are keen to hear from nurses who are passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and eager to develop their expertise in palliative and end-of-life care.
