Oakhaven Hospice relies on fundraising and legacies to pay for over 80% of running costs. With many of our 2020 events postponed or cancelled, our charity shops shut and no clear indication of how long the lockdown will continue, we are worried.
Virtual events – coming soon!
Our fundraising team is in the process of reviewing forthcoming events, with a view to making as many events as possible online and/or ‘virtual’ – whilst we recognise that things won’t quite be the same, we hope you’ll join in, help us raise funds and spread the word to raise awareness of all the important services our teams provide for the local community.
Fundraise with your own challenge!
In addition, our fundraising team is here to provide guidance and assistance to all individuals who decide to carry out a fundraising challenge or adventure in aid of Oakhaven. Find out more about how you could help us with fundraising here. Do get in touch with Jill West on firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to raise precious funds for Oakhaven.
Donations and legacies
These are challenging times for us all and we recognise that many people are currently experiencing financial worries and difficulties. If you do feel able to donate to Oakhaven, no matter how small the amount, we would be very grateful. You can donate online here.
For many people giving in their lifetime can be difficult. Consider instead donating through a gift in your Will (known as a legacy). This can be a tax-efficient way of giving, as gifts to charity are exempt from Inheritance Tax. Find out more about legacies here.
