The Hospice Walk
Saturday 15th May 2021

For the second year due to the pandemic, we are not permitted to organise our “official” annual Hospice Walk. Instead, participants have chosen to walk 26, 13 or 7 miles from their front door or other selected route, on Saturday 15th May.
If you spot any of our walkers out and about on 15th May be sure to give them a wave and a cheer as they complete their chosen distance in support of Oakhaven.

Taking part this year...
Could you help Oakhaven further by raising funds through sponsorship?
If you prefer to do your fundraising online, you could set up a JustGiving page - click here to get started.
All funds raised from The Hospice Walk will help local people during the most difficult of times. With only a small proportion of our costs funded by government sources, every donation makes a difference, enabling us to continue providing exceptional care, comfort and support to patients facing end of life and their loved ones, both within the Hospice itself and out in the New Forest, Totton and Waterside community.
Tell us about your Hospice Walk!
Don’t forget to share with us a picture of your tracked route and completed miles, along with that proud selfie with your medal! Just tag @oakhavenhospice and use the hashtag #thehospicewalk
Thank you to our sponsor Pennyfarthing Homes!
Pennyfarthing Homes is an award-winning local housebuilder which has been building homes in the New Forest area for over 40 years. The company is a family business and the team prides themselves on working closely with the communities in which they build, supporting a variety of local causes from schools and community groups to charities.
As part of its local community support, Pennyfarthing Homes is pleased to sponsor this fantastic event that brings the community together and raises much needed funds for Oakhaven Hospice. As well as providing a supporting donation,
Pennyfarthing Homes’ Director, Danny Adams, is taking part for a second time with his wife and adds: “Pennyfarthing Homes is delighted to once again sponsor Oakhaven Hospice’s Walk this spring. My wife Julie and I will also be taking part in the walk this year, marking our second walk in support. Julie regularly volunteers at the Hospice so we recognise and appreciate even more the incredible work undertaken by all at the Hospice, and how they make a huge difference to those facing life-limiting illnesses. We’re looking forward to taking part in this year’s walk and raising more funds for this fantastic, local organisation.”
