The wonderful team Koh Thai Tapas, Lymington put together a complimentary meal for out Carers Group to give them a break by providing amazing food and drinks in their beautiful restaurant.
The staff were friendly and really made the carers feel special, thank you Koh Thai for your hospitality and generosity.
They did it!!! Greg and Stephanie Harbut completed the gruelling 26.2 miles of the Brighton Marathon. Their first full marathon, raising a fantastic £1182 in memory of Greg's lovely Mum June Harbut. Well done, both had excellent times and now deserve feet up and a glass of something to celebrate.!!

We had a great Music Quiz Night courtesy of Quiz Britain at the Walhampton Arms last week. Our star Quizmaster was non other than David "Diddy" Hamilton and he brought along Mike Read to join in the fun. Over 200 people attended and had a great night. Big congratulations to Hythe Five who took first place. Thank you to everyone who so generously supported the event raising over £900 for Oakhaven. It was a privilege to be invited along to RNLI Calshot Lifeboat recently to meet the Crew and have a great tour of the station. So interesting to hear about the job these brave Volunteers do 24 hours a day 365 days a year. A personal donation of £120 from Michael Hayward and his family as well as the proceeds of the staff Christmas party raffle £301 were both presented to Oakhaven in memory of Michael's wife Angela. Thank you to everyone, a really enjoyable morning and Beanie makes a great cuppa!

A big thank you to The Walkford Pub in New Milton and all its customers who had a fun filled weekend of Oakhaven fund raising including disco, raffle and bingo! Emma, Dale and Katherine brought along the £486.00 raised to the Hospice today and presented our Community Fundraiser Jill West with the cheque. We look forward to seeing Emma sky diving for us in May!
You may remember that In June this year Ken Fowler sailed around the IOW raising over £2,500 for Oakhaven. We were delighted to announce that Ken had been nominated on the shortlist for this Years Yachts and Yachting awards in the Achievement of the Year category. Ken and his wife went to London this week and were thrilled to win runner up in this category. Many congratulations Ken, a truly fantastic achievement and we are delighted to have been the cause you did it for. Cheers!
