Can you help us finish the refurbishment of our Inpatient Unit?
Oakhaven Hospice provides expert hospice care to the people of the New Forest, Totton and Waterside and for over 30 years our much-loved hospice in Lymington has been the home of our Inpatient Unit.
But our beloved, beautiful building is now dated and doesn’t meet the needs of the modern hospice care we provide to local patients. Our ambition is to bring our Inpatient Unit up to date and create a space that fully matches the quality of care delivered by our expert team of clinical staff.
We were kindly left a significant gift by the late Leon Crouch, and thanks to his extraordinary contribution, we were able to begin an exciting new refurbishment project. This generosity almost covers the full costs of the work needed, however, our charity must find £231,888 to finish the work. So, today we’re asking you, our community, to please make a donation to help us lift our hospice building up to the standard our patients deserve.
Please help us refurbish and modernise Oakhaven’s Inpatient Unit and create a home for the next generation of exceptional local care.

“My husband Garry was a wonderful, wonderful man. He was a proud father to our three boys and loved spending time with our eight grandchildren. We were so happy together for the whole of our lives. When he came into Oakhaven it was just a few weeks before our golden wedding anniversary.
When Garry died he was peaceful, not in pain and we were there with him. In our loss, the memories we have of our time with him are such a comfort. How your donation will help...
Every year, it costs around £9 million to fund our services – yet just 11% of Oakhaven's funding is covered by NHS statutory funding. For the remaining 89%, our charity relies on your kind donations, fundraising, gifts in wills and income from the Oakhaven shops and social enterprise Oakhaven Care Ltd. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to each and every member of our community who makes kind donations, helps us fundraise and volunteers their time to support Oakhaven.
