Help us Fundraise

Volunteers at Family Fun Day

We wouldn’t be here without your generosity. Every year we need to raise £5 million to enable us to provide expert end of life care and support to our community. By taking part in our fundraising events, raising money in the community, playing in our Oakhaven lottery or donating and buying in our shops, you make a real difference to people living with a diagnosis, facing death or coming to terms with a bereavement.

Family Fun Day

Organise your own fundraising

“From the first day, when I was walking in with my family to visit my Dad, to the last day, when we left knowing we wouldn’t return, we were unconditionally loved. Being so young when I would visit, Oakhaven was the first experience of vast kindness from ‘strangers’ I remember.

I owe them the world for making those final, special-yet-painful days with my Dad full of warmth and love. I’m now left with nothing but those memories, but I’m beyond thankful I have them.

I’ve continued to raise money for Oakhaven since I was a young adult to ensure the next family that comes through their doors gets what I had – a cherished chance to say goodbye.”

Frequently asked questions

How do I collate my sponsorship? Expand

You can set up an online fundraising page on Just Giving, simply choose a name for your page and add a message explaining your story and why you're supporting Oakhaven Hospice. This will allow you to share the link to tell people what you're doing and encourage them to sponsor you online; you will also be able to keep them up to date with your progress.

Or if you would prefer you can simply download a sponsorship form

Can I gift aid my donations? Expand

Yes you can, if you are a UK taxpayer, all we ask is for you to compete a gift aid form. This will enable us to claim back 25p for every £1 you give, which makes your gift even more valuable, at no extra cost to you. Last year we raised £62,571.41 from gift aid on your fundraising and donations.

Can I support by having a green collection pot? Expand

Did you know in 2019 our green collection pots raised over £27,000 for Oakhaven? From pubs and clubs to garages, shops, garden centres and restaurants we have over 300 pots in the local area which people regularly fill up with loose change for us. If you have a business or would like an Oakhaven pot for your place of work please contact fundraising@oakhavenhospice.co.uk and just remember every penny really does count.

We are always grateful for everything you do for us, have a look at our fundraising news  to see what our community has been up to.
