Working for us
Join the team at Oakhaven Hospice!
We are a TEAM that CARE
Oakhaven is a supportive and rewarding organisation to work for. We are based in the heart of the New Forest and provide life-changing care to those living with end-of-life needs throughout our community.
Our staff and volunteers are our greatest asset and it is important to us that those joining our team reflect our VALUES so that we can offer the best possible care to our patients and families. We are a TEAM that CARE.
We employ around 200 staff in a number of different areas from clinical care roles to fundraising and retail. We offer a range of full-time and part-time positions, on a permanent and fixed-term basis. Although the mix of roles here is very varied, all team members demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for the work they do, each playing a critical role in the delivery of our overall mission
"From the very first day I knew that I had joined a special organisation. During my induction it was made clear to me that the ethos of the Oakhaven Trust, whilst being highly professional, was undoubtedly ‘humanitarian’ focused. This was right across the board: patients, their families and employees too. It was not only in writing, it was also in evidence. From the dedicated and specialised care given to the patients, the support to their families, through to the way they support their employees and volunteers there is a generosity of spirit which runs through Oakhaven. It is further illustrated by the number of volunteers who help to keep Oakhaven running. I feel so proud and privileged to be a part of this extraordinary organisation of caregivers." Health Care Assistant
"I wanted to be able to give something back after the wonderful support they gave my family and me through my mum’s illness. I can honestly say that in all my years working in the field of HR I have never felt part of a team as much as I do working here at Oakhaven. Not only is it a great place to work but everyone makes you feel valued, supported and appreciated every day. Knowing that I am working for such an amazing organisation that is so passionate about its local community, whilst also ensuring the very best specialist palliative care is given to everyone within our catchment, makes me feel amazingly proud to be a part of this team."
