Charity shop donations

Thank you for your support

Every shop donation helps us make a difference for patients and families under our care.

Many thanks for donating items to Oakhaven Hospice charity shops

We are grateful to everyone who generously donates bags of good-quality preloved items for our shops and online stores to sell. Our retail shops and online stores are an important source of income for Oakhaven Hospice. The money raised in our shops helps to fund the specialist care and support to our patients and their loved ones when they need it most.

What can you donate to our charity shops?

We are grateful for your donations, as our charity shops rely on your good-quality donated items. Unfortunately, there are certain items that we cannot accept due to Health and Safety regulations or lack of public demand. We only make money from things that we can resell, and we have to pay to dispose of items which are broken, damaged or heavily used.

Last year we had to spend over £20,000 on waste disposal, which was predominately unsaleable donations. If we are unable to accept large items for donation that is the reason why - if we can sell it we will take it!

Please check the lists below before bringing us your donations.

For large items, please check with us before bringing them - we may not be able to accept your item as we are trying to limit our costs of disposal.

Volunteers play a vital role in the success of our charity shops and we are always looking for additional help. If you could give the gift of time, find out more information about being an Oakhaven Volunteer.
