Module duration:
This module consists of 4 sessions over 3 days and delivered over a period of 3 months.
Module fee:
£90 per person - this is a non-refundable administrative charge.

Within the Coates Centre at Oakhaven Hospice, Lymington, SO41 8ZZ
Who is this module suited to?
This module is accessible to all HCAs and Allied Healthcare Professionals.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of this module delegates will be enabled to:
- Communicate with a range of people in a sensitive and flexible manner, recognising the impact of death, dying and bereavement.
- Listen to individuals about concerns related to end of life.
- Develop a person-centred approach using holistic assessments about a person's life and contribute to multi-disciplinary workings in advanced patient care planning and delivery of care.
- Be aware of maintaining comfort and wellbeing and that symptoms have many causes including depression, anxiety and other psychological and physical aspects.
- Be aware of cultural issues which impact symptom management.
- Demonstrate understanding of Informed Consent and other legal implications of Advance Care Planning.
- All course materials will be provided
An Oakhaven Certificate will be provided on completion of the Module
