Write a Will Month

September 2025

Last will and testiment with pen

Write A Will Month 2025 has wrapped up — thank you for your support!

Every September, Oakhaven teams up with local solicitors and estate planners who will waive their usual Will-writing fee when you make a donation to Oakhaven Hospice.

This year Write A Will Month has raised £9,555 for Oakhaven Hospice. We would like to thank everyone who took part in the scheme by writing their Will.

We’re deeply grateful to all the solicitors who generously gave their time and support - Eric Robinson Solicitors, Heppenstalls Solicitors, Jasper Vincent Solicitors, Moore Barlow Lawyers, Richard Griffiths Solicitors, Scott Bailey LLP, PJH Estate Planning and RoCHe Wills & Trusts.

Write A Will Month 2026 will launch mid-August 2026.

If you are a local solicitor/estate planner and would like to take part in Write A Will Month 2026 please contact our Corporate Fundraising Manager Natalie Hutchins - Natalie.Hutchins@oakhavenhospice.co.uk

Legacies help Oakhaven in so many ways

Oakhaven has been providing free hospice care for local people and their loved ones for over 30 years. During that time, gifts in wills have played a significant role.

Every day it costs over £21,500 to fund Oakhaven's services. Yet the NHS only covers 11% each year - for the remaining 89% we rely on your kind donations, fundraising, gifts in wills, income from our shops and social enterprise Oakhaven Care.

Gifts left in wills help us to make every moment matter for those who are facing end-of-life. We are extremely grateful for all legacies, whatever their size.

Leave a lasting legacy with a gift in your will

Compassionate and skilled care is vital to us all as we approach the end of our lives, but so too is how we use the time we have left. The moments we share and the memories we make, stay in the hearts of our loved ones after we’ve gone. A gift in your will for Oakhaven will create memories and help make every moment matter at the end of life for generations to come.
