Oakhaven provides palliative and end-of-life care. We support those facing life-limiting illness and bereavement, making every moment matter.

"Seeing the smiling faces of people that you know "Seeing the smiling faces of people that you know is some of the best medicine you can get."

At Oakhaven Hospice, we know how precious shared moments can be. Whether bringing lonely patients together socially in our Day Hospice, providing specialist care in our Inpatient Unit or caring for patients in their own homes, we strive to make every moment matter.

Our care doesn't stop for the holidays. On Christmas Eve, on Christmas morning, on every day over the festive period, our nurses and carers will be at a bedside, or on the phone to a worried family, or driving to help someone at home. Our hospice care is free of charge.

We are there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But we can't do this alone.

It costs over £24,500 every day to provide our services - and this winter, demand is rising while costs climb. Only a small proportion of our costs are covered by the government.

For the remainder we rely on the generosity of donations, fundraising and gifts in wills, along with income from our shops and our social enterprise home care provider Oakhaven Care. We simply cannot reach out to everyone who needs us without the kindness of our supporters.
