The gardens are a place to be still and reflect, home to a wonderful array of wildlife and nature that patients, families, staff and volunteers are able to access and enjoy all year round. Included in the foreground of the painting, seated on the bench are Phoebe and John Coates the founders of the hospice, reflecting on the unique legacy their family home has provided for patients in the New Forest area.
