Enerveo donate time and plants for Oakhaven's garden
In early May, a team of volunteers from Enerveo dedicated their time to replant the Tree of Life garden, also donating the plants for the project after winning a safety donation of £500.
The area had appeared neglected following the recent refurbishment and building works. The team worked diligently to prepare the garden beds, following a design generously provided by Hannah Leonardi in memory of her father, Leon Crouch. The Leon Crouch Foundation generously donated a sizeable sum following his passing, which has covered a significant proportion of Oakhaven's refurbishment and building works.
Daniel Cairns, Senior Project Manager at Enerveo, said, “Thank you to everyone at Oakhaven for supporting us with our planting. As a team, we really enjoyed the day – and felt that we had made a difference.”
Sally Needham, Operations Manager at Oakhaven Hospice, said, "We are incredibly grateful to Enerveo for both covering the cost of the new plants and donating a team of volunteers to prepare the beds and do the planting. Thank you also to Hannah for the design. The garden looks so much better! It will be enjoyed and appreciated by patients, their loved ones and visitors to the Coates Centre for years to come, providing a peaceful haven for families experiencing the most difficult of times."
