Focus – Breathe – Frame. Mindful photography to help your wellbeing.
Are you navigating a life-limiting illness, caring for someone or living with a loss or bereavement?
Our series of mindful photography workshops will start on 2nd February, and will run for 5 weeks, from 10am to 12.30pm, meeting each week in the Coates Centre at Oakhaven.
Discover how photography can calm the mind, spark creativity, and support your wellbeing. This workshop blends mindful practice with the Five Pillars of Wellbeing, to help you slow down and see the world differently.
- By connecting – build deeper relationships with people and place through shared creative moments
- By being active – move, explore, and engage your body whilst capturing meaningful images
- By taking notice – pause, observe, and appreciate the small details that often go unseen in the moment
- By keeping learning – try new techniques, experiment with perspective, and grow your creative skills
- By giving – share your images to inspire, uplift, or bring joy to others
Join us to reconnect with yourself, your surroundings and your creativity – one mindful photo at a time.
Please note: this is not a technical photography workshop, rather the device is an extension of your wellbeing resource.
When done thoughtfully, photography can be an effective way of improving mood and appreciation of everyday life.
