Named after our founders, John and Phoebe Coates, the Coates Centre is an entirely new service for Oakhaven.
Set in the hospice grounds but in a separate building, the Coates Centre provides information and support for anyone in the local community who feel their lives have been impacted by illness. This could be anyone who is living with an illness themselves, looks after someone who has an illness, or for those who are bereaved.
Information and support is available in different ways. Trained volunteers are always in the ‘hub’ of the Coates Centre and offer support through listening, chatting and company.
Alongside this a programme of events, talks and courses is also available. See what is on offer at The Coates Centre website www.thecoatescentre.co.uk where a full programme of activities are listed
The Coates centre is currently open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Please do come along and see for yourself what is on offer.
