‘Light up a Life’ with Oakhaven to remember loved ones
Oakhaven Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care to patients with a medical referral and support for their loved ones, free of charge. Although based in Lymington, Oakhaven’s specialist team cares for many patients at home throughout the Waterside, Totton and New Forest communities - caring for over 600 patients and their loved ones at any time, supporting thousands of local people each year.
In addition, Oakhaven Wellbeing provides specialist living well support to everyone in our community who is navigating a life-limiting condition or a bereavement.
For those who are bereaved, Christmas is a time when the sense of loss can intensify, whether that loss is recent or an absence that is still keenly felt after many years. Oakhaven’s Light up a Life events provide an opportunity to remember and reflect, where your loved one’s light will burn bright as you cherish their memory. Everyone in the community is welcome.
This year, Oakhaven’s Light up a Life services will be taking place on:
- Monday 7 December at St Wins Church, Totton (5.30pm)
- Tuesday 8 December at St Thomas’s Church, Lymington (5.30pm)
- Wednesday 9 December at St John’s Church, Hythe (5.30pm)
- Tuesday 15 December at Beaulieu Abbey Church (2pm)
- Wednesday 16 December at St Saviour’s Church, Brockenhurst (5.30pm)

Oakhaven is grateful for any donation that you can make. Oakhaven’s hospice care is provided free of charge, yet just 14% of costs are covered by the government. For the remaining 86%, Oakhaven relies on your kind donations, fundraising, gifts in wills, and income from its charity shops and home care provider, Oakhaven Care.
Many thanks to Cinnamon Care for sponsoring Light up a Life.
